In our first recital of the 2025 season, Songbook presents Kieran Rayner, UK-based New Zealand baritone, recently seen starring in Days Bay Opera’s Il Pirata, with Rose Aldridge, mezzo-soprano, an outstanding senior student at the New Zealand School of Music, and Catherine Norton, piano. This wide-ranging programme of German and English songs includes the music of Schubert, Clara Schumann, Brahms, Alma Mahler, Finzi, Vaughan Williams, and NZ composer Andrew Baldwin.
